Empowering Rural Minds Since 1942

Founded in the pre-independence era, Panampilly Smaraka Higher Secondary School (PSHSS) has been a beacon of knowledge for the rural communities of Koratty and Thirumudikkunnu. Catering to students from Grades 5 to 12, our co-educational, government-aided institution is dedicated to academic excellence, holistic development, and social upliftment. We proudly serve our students with zero tuition fees for standard courses, ensuring that quality education remains a right, not a privilege.

History

The Legacy of PSHSS Thirumudikkunnu

Established in 1942 during the pre-independence era, PSHSS stands as a testament to the enduring power of education. Named after great statesman Late Shri Panampilly Govinda Menon, our school has been the cornerstone of education for Thirumudikkunnu and the surrounding areas of Koratty, Chalakudy, and Thrissur district for over 80 glorious years.

Our Patron

Guided by the Legacy of Panampilly Govinda Menon

Our school stands as a living memorial to Late Shri Panampilly Govinda Menon (1906-1970), a titan of Indian politics, former Union Law Minister, and a proud native of the Chalakudy region. Known as the ‘Architect of Modern Kerala’s Library Movement’ and a champion of education for all, his vision for accessible education continues to guide our institution to this day. Just as he played a key role in framing the Constitution of India, we at PSHSS strive to frame the strong character and bright future of our students.
